Dear Residents of Pingree Grove,

It is an honor to serve you as Chief of Police. I have had the privilege of working for the Village of Pingree Grove since 2008, and throughout my career, I have remained committed to the values that guide our department. Our four main pillars are Ethics, Honesty, Integrity, and Loyalty, and they serve as the foundation for every decision I make as your Chief of Police.

The mission of the Pingree Grove Police Department is to provide services with integrity and dedication, to preserve life, to enforce the law, and to work in partnership with the community to enhance the quality of life in our village. This mission is more than just words on paper—it is a promise we live by each day as we work to keep Pingree Grove safe, connected, and resilient.

Our Priorities. As our community continues to grow, so do the needs of our police department. We are focused on three key priorities: Hiring additional officers to meet the increasing call volume, supporting officer wellness and resiliency, and enhancing community safety through proactive policing, collaboration, and engagement.

Programs and Initiatives. The Pingree Grove Police Department actively participates in Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) safety grants and hosts a variety of community engagement events throughout the year. These initiatives reinforce our mission to serve with integrity, professionalism, and dedication to those we are entrusted to protect.

Professional Standards and Training. We are working diligently toward Illinois Law Enforcement Accreditation Program (ILEAP) accreditation in the coming years. To support that goal, our policies are continually reviewed and updated to remain consistent with Illinois state law and current legislation. Officer training hours have increased to meet state mandates issued by the Illinois Law Enforcement Training and Standards Board (ILETSB), and we are training in-house instructors to ensure high-quality, cost-effective training right here in Pingree Grove.

Community Partnerships. We are proud to partner with surrounding law enforcement agencies, Community Unit School District 300, and Cambridge Lakes Learning Center to ensure safe schools and neighborhoods. As our village grows, these partnerships remain vital to maintaining the quality of life that makes Pingree Grove a desirable and safe place to call home.

Staying Connected. Our department’s webpage on the Village of Pingree Grove website is continuously updated with resources, and we share important safety information on social media through Facebook and Instagram. I encourage you to follow us online and stay engaged with our officers at local events—you are an essential part of our success.

On behalf of the dedicated men and women of the Pingree Grove Police Department, thank you for your continued support and partnership. Guided by our mission and our pillars of Ethics, Honesty, Integrity, and Loyalty, together we will keep Pingree Grove strong, safe, and united both now and in the future.

 Respectfully,

Signature
