Community
We Welcome You to Our Growing Community.
Pingree Grove was a small village located along Illinois Route 20 with 48 homes and 124 residents according to the 2000 census. The Board and residents recognized that civilization was headed west and decided to work with progress instead of against it. In 2004 the planning began and the first Cambridge homes were sold in 2005. The growing community proudly celebrated their centennial on February 14, 2007 as the fastest growing town in the northwest area.
Cambridge Lakes
The Cambridge Lakes subdivision is an award-winning community in Pingree Grove that was honored with Best Overall Chicagoland Suburban Community by the Home Builders Association of Greater Chicago, and nationally awarded by the National Association of Home Builders, both in 2007. Not surprising the charming area was bestowed the honors since residents enjoy 360 acres of open space, including 12 lakes, wooded park areas and 5.2 miles of walking and bike trails.
Carillon at Cambridge Lakes
In 2007 Cambridge saw the opportunity to build a family-oriented, gated retirement community that offers a variety of amenities, such as a new state-of-the-art clubhouse, a fitness center, and indoor pool and spa. There are also hobby and craft rooms, a billiards room, computer lab and library. Outdoor recreation includes:
- 3-hole golf course
- Bocce ball courts
- Pool
