As a new resident, you may find the following information helpful:
- The Village Municipal Center is located at 555 Reinking Rd, next to the Village Police Department. Office hours Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, phone (847) 464-5533; email; website.
- Board of Trustees meetings are held on the first and third Monday of the month beginning at 7:00 pm
- Pingree Grove is part of the Rutland Township in Kane County.
- Village population is 11,948 as of the 2024 Special Census.
- Water and sewer utilities are operated and billed directly by the Village on a bi-monthly basis. The monthly base rate for combined water/sewer service is $45 and $8.87 per 1,000 gallons of consumption.
- Pingree Grove & Countryside Fire Protection District provides emergency fire, medical, and rescue services to the community.
- School District 300 serves the community through Gary D. Wright Elementary, Big Timber Elementary, Hampshire Middle School, and Hampshire High School, all located in Hampshire, and Cambridge Lakes Charter School, located right here in Pingree Grove. Central School District 301 serves residents within the Village’s Heritage District. Elgin Community College, located in nearby Elgin, provides local opportunities for higher education.
- Natural gas service is provided by Nicor. Nicor Start Services Form.
- Electricity service is provided by ComEd. Stop/Move/Start ComEd Service.
- Garbage and recycling service takes place on Friday morning, and is managed and billed directly by Flood Brothers.
- Vehicle stickers are not required in the village.
- Contact the Kane County Clerk to register to vote
