NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
The Village of Pingree Grove will hold a public hearing on Monday, September 16, 2024, at 6:00pm at the Village of Pingree Grove Municipal Center, 555 Reinking Road, Pingree Grove, IL 60140, in the 2nd floor board room, to provide interested parties an opportunity to express their views on the proposed Illinois Department of Transportation’s ITEP Grant Application project and application submittal. The public hearing will also be live streamed online via YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/@PingreeGroveVillage/streams.
On or about September 30, 2024, the Village of Pingree Grove intends to apply to the Illinois Department of Transportation for a grant from the Illinois Transportation Enhancement Program (ITEP) in the amount of $2,510,672.23. The program requires a 20% local match for engineering and construction . The award of grant funds will allow the Village to construct a shared use path along IL-72 and portions of US20, from Reinking Road on the east to Thurnau Road on the west. The goal of the ITEP grant project is to support alternate modes of transportation, enhance the transportation system throughout the community, and improve the quality of life for members of the communities. Information related to this project, along with the draft grant application will be made available for review prior to the Public Hearing on the Village’s website www.villageofpingreegrove.org.
Written public comments should be submitted in person at the Village Municipal Center, or via email to the Village Clerk’s office at lortega@pingreegrove.org, no later than Friday, September 13, 2024, in order to ensure placement of such comments in the official record of the public hearing proceedings.
